Suggestive environment created in the tuff, located in 2 different but similar architectural rooms, a few steps from each other. The 4 stars for the service are given exclusively for the slightly extended times also due to the considerable flow of people in these days, the quality of the food is good, the staff very courteous, prices within the norm. For anyone visiting this village, a lunch in this place is highly recommended as it generates exciting emotions.

In the heart of Civita.The wishing well is a restaurant in the village of Civita di Bagnoregio, a village that is an understatement to define as spectacular.Before being lulled by a night in the village we booked and had dinner at the Pozzo dei Desideri having the opportunity of a table positioned at the bottom of an ancient cistern dug by hand in the stone, a unique experience to say the least.Alessandro welcomed us with kindness, professionalism and competence.We were recommended an excellent white wine, Poggio dei Gelsi di Cotarella, a super mixed appetizer, tagliatelle and swiss with really tasty bacon.We also had the pleasure of meeting the Chef, who was very courteous and friendly.What can I say, just being in Bagnoregio is special, having the opportunity to dine at Pozzo dei Desire completed and enriched our stay. Truly quality food! All products are evidently selected and carefully plated. The appearance, I can guarantee, largely reflects the flavors. Tasted (or rather, tasted) two excellent appetizers (eggs with black truffle and a platter of cured meats and cheeses) and two excellent first courses: spaghetti alla guitar revisited carbonara style with truffle, ravioli with purple potatoes and Chianina meat sauce. Fast waitress, always present, prepared and really friendlyFinally, the environment is unique and difficult to find elsewhere: a room carved into the rock with tables in industrial-modern combinations.It's the second time I've been back and I'm sure there will be new opportunities

In the heart of Civita di Bagnoregio there is this small place made up of two separate rooms (one in a corner of a street and the other on another street)At first glance the environment is amazing, having lunch inside a cave is wonderful.The quality of the food is excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful.Negative note; (but not that serious) the bathroom is in the other room, so you have to go out and go to the other one, when it rains it can be annoying.Recommended dishes: appetizer of desires, paccheri with duck ragù, fettuccine with asparagus cream, bacon and pecorino, pork fillet in sweet and sour sauce and grilled potatoes, tiramisu and hazelnut chunks.Overall, a positive experience and I highly recommend going there.PS: book 2/3 days before.

Eating dinner at the bottom of an ancient cistern is a really cool experience, and the food was phenomenal.

Civita di Bagnoregio is a town in the Province of Viterbo in central Italy, a suburb of the comune of Bagnoregio, 1 kilometre (0.6 mi) east from it. It is about 120 kilometres (75 mi) north of Rome. The only access is a footbridge from the nearby town, with a toll introduced in 2013. Due to the toll, communal taxes were abolished in Civita and nearby Bagnoregio. Due to its unstable foundation that often erodes, Civita is famously known as "the dying city".

In the underground heart of Civita we had dinner in an intimate room created from a cistern. Unique. A special Saturday evening.Excellent food and very kind staff, no waiting, portions are right and prices are appropriate for the place.We are in a unique place, with its own complex context, we are not in a shopping centre. This must always count.
